● During the wort boiling process at a brewery, large amounts of secondary steam are generated. This secondary steam has a high thermal value and can be used for heating hot water, or it can be utilized—via the high-efficiency steam heat pump system described in this article—to heat the wort itself, thereby achieving the goal of saving steam consumption.

● The efficient steam heat pump system includes the following equipment: a steam ejector, a wort circulation pump, a wort heater, a condensate tank, a condensate pump, as well as associated pipelines and control valves. The monitoring instruments include temperature sensors, pressure sensors, flow meters, and others.

● The core component of the system is a steam ejector. Its operating principle involves using high-pressure working steam to drive an efficient steam heat pump system (HSHP) that recovers and compresses secondary steam generated during boiling. The compressed secondary steam is then mixed with the working steam and sent to both internal and external heaters for use, thereby reducing overall steam consumption.
